Privacy policy

This page explains what information the website uses and the choices available to you.

Who is responsible

A practical privacy commitment

Kanswal Foundation processes personal information only for lawful, stated purposes connected with this website, its short-lived Gita reflection experience, and its general, partnership, and digital-service enquiry forms. This policy is intended to provide clear notice under applicable Indian data-protection and information-technology law.

Data fiduciary

Kanswal Foundation, Public Trust Registration No. E-37682 (M), registered in the Greater Mumbai Region, is responsible for deciding why and how information submitted through this website is used.

Information collected

What this website may process

  • Enquiry details such as name, business email, organisation, requested service, optional budget and timeline, title, and project message, including any information a visitor chooses to include.
  • Technical security information such as IP address, request time, browser details, and server logs.
  • A strictly necessary session cookie used for security, form verification, and language-aware navigation.
  • A Gita reflection question and the bounded conversation context needed to generate follow-up responses. Health or crisis prompts blocked by the local safety filter are not saved or sent to the AI model.
  • Page-view analytics only after the visitor accepts optional analytics cookies.
  • For donations, the donor's name, INR amount, Indian mobile number, donation status and confirmation time.

Please do not submit Aadhaar numbers, payment-card or bank information, health records, passwords, precise home addresses, confidential credentials, or other sensitive personal information through an enquiry form.

Donation privacy

What is private and what is public

After a donation is confirmed, the donor's name, amount and date appear in the public donation record. Names are shown by default. A donor can tick the box on the donation form to hide the name. Older donor names remain masked because that choice was not available at the time.

Purpose and retention

Why information is used

  • To receive, assess, and respond to genuine general or digital-service enquiries, including evaluating delivery fit and preparing a proposal when requested.
  • To generate a requested Gita reflection, preserve context for up to five responses, enforce abuse and cost limits, and demonstrate responsible AI delivery.
  • To protect the website against spam, abuse, fraud, and security incidents.
  • To maintain reliable operations and diagnose technical problems.
  • To understand general website usage when optional analytics consent has been given.

Retention

Gita reflection conversations and their temporary network-security digest are automatically deleted after 24 hours. Enquiries are normally retained for up to 12 months after receipt and may be kept longer only where reasonably necessary for an ongoing proposal or contractual relationship, legal obligation, dispute, safeguarding concern, or documented organisational record. Security and infrastructure logs follow the shorter operational retention periods configured by the relevant service provider.

Processors and disclosures

Who may process information

Access is limited to authorised foundation personnel and service providers used to operate the website and communications.

  • Amazon Web Services, for application and database infrastructure.
  • Zoho, when email notification and correspondence services are configured.
  • Google Analytics, only when the visitor accepts optional analytics.
  • Professional advisers or public authorities where disclosure is legally required or necessary to protect rights and safety.

Kanswal Foundation does not sell personal information or provide it to data brokers. Information is not shared with villages, tourism providers, donors, or prospective partners merely because an inquiry was submitted.

Control and safeguards

Your privacy choices

  • Decline optional analytics without losing access to the website or inquiry form.
  • Withdraw analytics consent through the cookie preferences control.
  • Ask what inquiry information is held about you, or request correction or deletion, subject to applicable legal exceptions.
  • Withdraw consent for future optional processing as easily as it was given.

Children

This website is not designed to collect information directly from children. A person under 18 should not submit an inquiry or register an interest without a parent or lawful guardian. The foundation will add verifiable guardian controls before offering any child-facing programme.
